Webinar Description:
Creative Project Management Methods for Resourcing Projects in Small versus Large Organizations. In the interest of stimulating innovation, large organizations have actively promoted small company work cultures with their project teams. These
organizations have sought to drive nimbleness and flexibility in their resource and activity management processes, while breeding inventiveness and an entrepreneurial spirit into their team cultures. In contrast smaller organizations need
to creatively resource projects and operations from a small pool of full time resources and a large consultant base. For example, the charge to prepare for regulatory submissions with limited resources can pose significant challenges in work
practices, work flow, and expertise. Tasks such as coordinating the development of source documentation, authoring sections, and ensuring correct messaging, require unique approaches in smaller organizations. This session will present lessons
from real world experience that compares and contrasts resourcing challenges in large and small organizations, and how your project management approach needs to be applied judiciously and thoughtfully to improving performance of your teams
in both organizations.
Learning Objectives:
- Creating responsive teams in larger organizations through empowerment
- Reducing resourcing risk in smaller organizations through disciplined management
